Ms. Clark is BC's former Deputy Premier, Minister of Education and Minister of Children and Family Development.

As Education Minister, Ms. Clark brought major changes to the school system, focusing on improved accountability and outcomes. She increased parental involvement, led the effort to end junk food sales in schools and introduced a fellowship to recognize excellence in teaching.

As Minister of Children and Family Development, she delivered increased funding for childcare. She was the first politician in BC to advocate for tax credits for parents who enroll their children in sports, recreation and the arts.

Ms. Clark is the host of "The Christy Clark Show," on CKNW 980AM, BC's most listened-to radio station. She has also been a newspaper columnist and a frequent television commentator. She serves on the boards of KidSport Canada and Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, and is a member of the International Women's Forum, a group of women leaders operating in 21 countries.
